"The Colossus" - The BIGGEST Coffee Roaster Drum for BBQ on the PLANET!

"The Colossus", My newest all welded all stainless steel (14 gauge throughout!) Coffee Roaster Drum for BBQ that will roast up to 20 pounds of beans, has just been released for sale to the public.  It is the biggest coffee roaster drum for BBQ for commercial sale on Planet Earth.  Maybe on some other planet in some other solar system in some other galaxy there is a bigger one, but not here on Planet Earth!

Here are some pics:

It measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter by 34 inches in length (GIGANTIC!), and has 11 1/2 inch end cap plates.  It is constructed entirely of 14 gauge stainless steel (thicker than all known competitors stainless steel drums for coffee roasting on BBQ grills).  100% welded construction.  Drum weight is almost 40 pounds.

This drum is not for beginners or weaklings, for that matter.  With 20 pounds of beans it weighs close to 60 pounds.  To use this drum you need a BBQ grill that will both accomodate its size and have a rotisserie to rotate it (no small feat, but there are some rotisseries available).

Hello.  I just got done developing the Next Generation Ronco/Showtime & George Foreman Rotisserie drums, and will be releasing them for sale soon.  They are 100% constructed by me.  This new design, which I am naming "GEN2" are different than my current drums in that I do not use pop off caps; actually one end has a swing/cap type door which allows extremely easy entry and exit of the coffee beans.  It is a really great drum and well worth the $129.95 price I charge for it (the aluminum/stainless steel version which I will first release).  Pictures are shown below.  Note that this is a proprietary design of mine.  Also note that the hand model is me. (ha ha)

(This roaster is not based on the Ronco 6000 as is our regular javaPRO-CRC.  Also note that this new ULTRA model does not take the place of our regular javaPRO-CRC.   We are continuing, and will continue, to sell the regular javaPRO-CRC.  While this new model has some characteristics of our popular regular javaPRO-CRC model , it is an enhanced design and stands on its own as a totally separate and unique roaster.)

CONSTRUCTION

Stainless Steel and Aluminum construction.  Double-walled construction with insulating material between walls.  Ventilation unit (made out of typical heat duct plated metal) incorporated onto outside of unit for roasting smoke removal.  4 foot expandable to 8 foot ventilation tube also included with purchase.

Drum measures 8" in diameter by 12" in length, and holds up to 5 pounds of unroasted coffee beans.  Drum is constructed of 20 gauge perforated stainless steel for cage, and 14 gauge non-perforated aluminum sheet for end caps.  Interior finwork of drum is of aluminum construction.  Drum has wide door that opens and closes which runs length-wise on drum to allow filling and dumping of beans.  (Drum does not detach from roaster).   Drum spins at 60 rpm to provide very uniform roasts.  Pan included to dump roasted beans in. 

Roaster has bean cooling down process that uses extra ventilation fans incorporated into smoke exhaust unit to quickly evacuate heat from unit.

Roaster includes thermometer, thermostat control, timer control, on/off switch for ventilation unit, and master switch.  Entire roaster uses approximately 1800 watts 110 volts AC 60 hertz.  Heating element uses 1600 of those watts.  Grounded 3 wire construction uses typical 3 hole house outlet for use with 3 prong cord.

Roaster measures approx 12" high by 12" in depth by 16" in width.  Add on another 8" in depth for ventilation unit housing.  Roaster has latched front door that opens right to left.  Door has 4" by 4" square port hole (sealed with high temp ceramic glass) to allow you to see inside of roaster when door is closed.   When roaster is in operation interior is lighted.  Exterior of roaster is entirely constructed of 14 gauge aluminum, spray painted in high-temp flat black.

WARRANTY

1 year Warranty included on all parts and labor due to normal wear and tear (warranty not applicable for abused javaPRO-CRC ULTRA roasters; issues arising from buyers negligence; or failure to follow manufacturers operational and safety instructions).  Shipment of roaster to manufacturer for warranty issues is at buyers cost.
